NMEA 2000 Processor

  • Released: 29 November 2023

  • Version: 0.12

  • This app is used to convert NMEA 2000 data (typically found in marine applications) into standard CAN data for use with any CAN logger or interpreter, including Racelogic products.

The download includes the firmware to be installed on the VBOX Touch, a DBC file containing the interpreted signals that can be loaded into Racelogic Setup or a CAN logger, and a Readme file containing instructions on how to use the application.

This app supports the most common signals but not all NMEA 2000 signals. A list of supported signals is provided in the readme file, please contact Racelogic support if you require specific signals not currently included in the app.

    1. Download the .rvf file.
(Your unit must be registered to receive the required login details for the download. Register here.)
    2. Place the file on the root directory of the SD card (not in the media or any other folder).
    3. Insert the SD card into the side panel of the unpowered unit.
    4. Power up VBOX Touch.
    5. Confirm the update by pressing OK. The unit will then display an update screen with a progress bar.
    6. Once complete, the unit will restart.

Once the firmware is successfully loaded on to the unit, the file will be removed from the SD card.

The zip file will also contain a DBC file containing the interpreted signals and a 'readme' file with instructions on how to use the app.

A list of supported signals is provided in the readme file.

  • The latest release adds support for new hardware variants.
