VBOX Sigma

VBOX Sigma is a cost-effective, RTK enabled data logger with integrated NTRIP modem. Its multi-constellation, multi-frequency GNSS engine offers outstanding RTK performance even in areas with poor and multi-path satellite coverage.

When used in conjunction with an RTK base station or NTRIP correction service, VBOX Sigma is accurate to within a centimetre and is the ideal reference for ground truth.

  • 10 Hz GNSS data logging
  • Outstanding RTK performance
  • Integrated NTRIP link
  • Cost-effective PNT
  • CAN Bus output for 3rd party connection

Key Features

Accuracy

When used in conjunction with an RTK base station or NTRIP correction service, VBOX Sigma is accurate to within a centimetre and is the ideal reference for ground truth.

In-built NTRIP Link

The integrated NTRIP modem makes it easy to receive RTK correction messages from an NTRIP network, either via Wi-Fi or a cellular connection.

Reliable GNSS Reception

Its multi-constellation, multi-frequency GNSS engine offers outstanding RTK performance even in areas with poor and multi-path satellite coverage.

Cost-effective

Using the latest GNSS receiver, VBOX Sigma is an incredibly cost-effective solution for reliable PNT measurement.

CAN Bus Output

VBOX Sigma has a CAN Bus output for connection to VBOX Video HD2, a 3rd party data logger or another device.

RTK for VBOX Video

When connected to a VBOX Video HD2, the positioning data will be taken from VBOX Sigma rather than the HD2 GPS engine, achieving RTK-level accuracy on the VBOX Video HD2.

Live Data Display

VBOX Sigma has a serial output for live data display on your PC (running VBOX Test Suite software).

Integration

VBOX Sigma can be used as an add-on product or built into your own solution to provide accurate ground truth. Please ask us for options to integrate.

Applications

The high accuracy and signal reliability of VBOX Sigma makes it ideally suited for autonomous applications.

As a standalone solution, VBOX Sigma delivers robust ground truth and position data logging, which offers an affordable solution for position logging of multiple vehicles during automotive AV development and testing scenarios.

VBOX Sigma can also be easily integrated into any autonomous system to provide accurate and reliable positioning. This includes integration with autonomous agriculture robots, last mile delivery technology and smart city solutions for landscaping, cleaning and maintenance.

The potential applications are almost limitless and with VBOX Sigma designed and manufactured in-house by RACELOGIC engineers, we can provide bespoke adaptations and integrations that meet our customers’ needs.
