Con medidas en tiempo real de parámetros de hasta tres vehículos y con una precisión de posición de menos de 2 cm, el sistema de pruebas de ADAS de VBOX de Racelogic permite a los desarrolladores verificar fácilmente la eficacia de sus productos.

Clientes como Honda, Nissan, GM, Autoliv y Toyota utilizan el equipo ADAS de VBOX para probar sus sistemas de seguridad.

En el centro del sistema está la antena doble VBOX 3i con RTK, conectada mediante radio telemetría a una estación base RTK u otra VBOX 3i que actúa como “base móvil”.

Los productos de ADAS de VBOX permiten probar y validar normas industriales reconocidas, tales como ISO 15622 (Control de crucero adaptable), ISO 15623 (Atenuación de colisión delantera) y pruebas de confirmación de NCAP.

Open Road ADAS Testing

The Moving Base test solution allows engineers to test ADAS applications on the open road. It works by linking two VBOX 3i RTK units, with the system in the subject vehicle transmitting corrections to the target vehicle at an update rate of 20 times per second.

This replaces the need to implement an RTK Base Station with a limited broadcast range, and provides engineers with the ability to test on normal roads, over reasonable distances, among other road users and roadside furniture, to under 5 cm relative positional accuracy.

The accuracy is enhanced by employing signals from the Russian GLONASS constellation as well as a method which uses refined delta positions obtained from carrier phase measurements. This reduces the noise levels of pseudo-range measurements (raw distances to each satellite) and removes positional jumps.

In order to use Moving Base, existing VBOX 3i RTK customers will need to upgrade to the latest version of VBOX and VBOX Manager firmware, as well as additional 2.4 GHz telemetry radios.

Autonomous Emergency Braking & Collision Mitigation Testing

Overview

VBOX GPS data logging systems are ideal for the development, testing and validation of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

AEB and FCW are necessary features if a new passenger vehicle is to achieve a five-star Euro NCAP rating. By 2018 AEB and Lane Departure Warning systems will be mandatory for all new commercial vehicles throughout Europe (UNECE Regulation on AEBS steps 1 and 2).

VBOX equipment provides positional accuracy to 2cm along with a real-time output of the relevant parameters required to develop such systems. When used in conjunction with Euro NCAP-approved steering and pedal robots, the VBOX 3i RTK (VB3iSLR) outputs data that meets the requirements set out in the NCAP assessment.

The dedicated VBOX Test Suite plugin for Euro NACP AEB allows you to significantly reduce time spent on track and in post-processing.

Blind Spot Detection Systems (BSDS) use cameras, radar sensors, light detection or ultrasonic systems to warn a driver whenever another object enters the blind spot area of a car.
