At Hyundai Motor Company's Namyang R&D Centre, the organisation's central hub for global vehicle development, the team responsible for speedometer development faces that challenge across every vehicle programme.
The team needed a reference measurement system capable of delivering precise, repeatable speed data during fixed-speed calibration tests, with the reliability to support regulatory sign-off. After working with VBOX Automotive to develop a bespoke solution, they were able to verify speedometer accuracy to within 0.2 km/h and odometer accuracy to within 1 metre over 10 km, while cutting installation time by 50%.
